Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys
The Philadelphia Eagles will be on the road in Week 9 for a Sunday Night Football matchup with their bitter NFC East rivals in the Dallas Cowboys inside the excessive AT&T Stadium. Sam Bradford, DeMarco Murray, and the rest of Chip Kelly’s Eagles team will be looking to stay in the hunt to win the division despite being plagued all season by inconsistency and dropping below .500 on the season after losing their last time out. The Cowboys have plenty of woes of their own, losing their last five games since the injury to Tony Romo. Dallas will again have Matt Cassel at the helm and will hope that the often-inept quarterback can find Dez Bryant and move the ball down at least mediocrely with the help of Darren McFadden.

Keys to Victory
With Matt Cassel, or even Brandon Weeden at quarterback if it were to come to that, at quarterback for the Cowboys, the key for Dallas is going to be getting Darren McFadden and Christine Michael going in the offense. The Eagles have been mediocre in defending the run this season, so McFadden and Michael theoretically could have success in that regard. What’s more important for the Cowboys in this game, though, is going to be the running backs finding success as receivers out of the backfield. Philadelphia has been solid defending against passing to backs this season, so Dallas is going to have to find a way to give Cassel short, easy throws to his running backs.
As for the Eagles, they’re up against a Cowboys defense who has been solid again this season on the defensive side of the ball. In Kelly’s famed offense, Philly is going to need to get Murray going in the rushing attack against his former team. The Cowboys have shown a tendency to get gashed by big runs at times and the Eagles need to try and create those chances for themselves and subsequently capitalize when they do happen with big strikes out of play action.

Prediction
I’m not a fan of the way either of these teams have played on the season as a whole and think that this game could be quite ugly on Sunday night. When n doubt, though, always pick the team that isn’t going to have Matt Cassel or Brandon Weeden playing quarterback.
Final Score: Philadelphia Eagles: 23, Dallas Cowboys: 16
