The big news in college football at the moment has nothing to do with rankings or something that happened on the field Saturday, rather it has to do with a slew of Missouri football players boycotting activities until school president Tim Wolfe is removed from his post in the wake of how he has mishandled some recent racist happenings within the campus.
On Sunday, Wolfe issued the following statement.

This is a serious situation at the moment that seems as if it’s far from over. Saturday it began with African-American players stating that they would be boycotting football activities until Wolfe resigns from his position, and it escalated on Sunday with a tweet that was sent out by head coach Gary Pinkel stating that now the entire team was behind everyone on this cause.
These folks wanted to take a stand and they have banded together as a team really should, which is quite admirable.
But with Wolfe seemingly not interested in stepping away from his job, it’ll be rather interesting to see how far this all really goes.
For those that may be unaware of how this all began, there was an incident in one of the Missouri dorms where a swastika was found that was constructed with feces. From there, a graduate student from the school went on a hunger strike until Wolfe is no longer the president. Everything has been snowballing from that point, and that of course included the statement from the Missouri football players.
