The Washington Redskins became the latest victim of the New England Patriots’ 2015 pain train. On Sunday, the Redskins traveled up to Foxboro only to be served up an unfavorable 27-10 defeat.
Despite the 17 point score, this one was even farther away than the final. New England jumped on Washington early and then just toyed with the overmatched opponent all day. It go so bad that Jay Gruden was going for it on fourth down from midfield before halftime.
Tom Brady had another stellar day, and the receiver du jour was Brandon LaFell. However, the victory did come at a cost for the Pats – Dion Lewis left the game with an injury that could cost him time. Next up for the Pats is an inconsistent New York Giants team up at MetLife Stadium next Sunday. The Redskins will go back home to Landover to host the New Orleans Saints.
