The Chargers suffered yet another injury, this one to wide receiver Malcom Floyd

There may not be another NFL team that has been as devastated by injuries through the first half of the 2015 season than the San Diego Chargers. With a multitude of injuries on both sides of the ball, they were already struggling in a big way. Their injury report likely will have another name on it after Monday Night Football: wide receiver Malcom Floyd.

Having already lost Keenan Allen for the rest of the season due to a kidney injury, the last thing that San Diego needed was another receiver to go down. Yet in the first half against the Chicago Bears on Monday, Floyd dove to try and make a catch and came down awkwardly on his arm. He stayed down in obvious pain:

Floyd left the game soon after with what’s being called an arm injury early on. However, with the way he fell, the possibility of something like a collarbone injury or a dislocated shoulder is also present.

Regardless, the injury to Floyd only makes the Chargers’ situation even direr. They were already working without their No. 1 receiver in Allen and now they could be without their No. 2-or-3 guy if Floyd misses a substantial amount of time. Sometimes, it feels like seasons are just cursed and this might be one of those years in San Diego.
