Kansas City Chiefs Team D/ST (22.3%)

The Chiefs defense is a group that is known for being able to get after the passer, and they did just that in London before their bye week.  In week 9 against the Lions, the Chiefs totaled six sacks and forcing two turnovers while giving up just ten points.  In ESPN standard scoring, that was good enough for a total of 15 points their highest output of the year.

Even before that game, though, the KC defense had turned things around and now has three double-digit games in their last four.  This week, they come off their bye and take a trip to the Mile High City where they’ll face the Broncos coming off their first loss of the season.  Denver’s offense put up 31 on Kansas City back in week 2, but the Chiefs’ defense had a touchdown and an interception while finishing with 12 fantasy points.

With Peyton Manning continuing his turnover-fest and a ferocious pass rush against a struggling offensive line, I like the Chiefs as the top plug-and-play option for this week.  It’s important to know how your leagues scores defenses since they’ll probably give up points, but I think they’ll also get sacks and turnovers enough to be a nice one-week option in a week where the available options are in mostly unfavorable matchups.
