The New York Jets are in the midst of perhaps erasing a 19-point deficit on Thursday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills, due in large part to this tremendous fourth-quarter touchdown catch by Eric Dekcer.
New York was trailing 22-3 in the third quarter but the offense has continued to plug away for head coach Todd Bowles, getting back two unanswered touchdowns. The latter of which was this beautiful connection from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to Decker, who caught this bad boy in all sorts of traffic.
The 31-yard touchdown pulled New York within five points in this all-important AFC East showdown. New York entered the game 5-3 and in the fifth-spot of the AFC playoff picture. Meanwhile, the Bills are trying to make the playoffs for the first time since 1999, which is the longest current drought in the National Football League.
Buffalo is 4-4 and on the outside looking in, but a win would put them right in the mix. The Bills are hoping to make a push in the second half of the season behind quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Taylor has been in and out of the lineup with injuries, allowing for EJ Manuel to get some snaps.
