When the 2015 NFL season began, the man at the top of the overall NFL jersey sales list was none other than Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden. As his NFL career continues, Haden remains one of the more popular entities in all of the NFL, and that was reflected by the fact that he started out on top of the mountain.
Well, the midway point of the NFL season is here, and believe it or not, Haden has not lost that spot on top of the mountain.
According to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report, which reflects sales both nationwide and online, with the halfway point upon us this year, the former Florida Gator is still the top jersey seller in the NFL.
Week 1 | Mid-season | |||
1 | Joe Haden | 1 | Joe Haden | |
2 | Odell Beckham Jr. | 2 | Tom Brady
3 | Andrew Luck | 3 | Odell Beckham Jr.
4 | Tom Brady | 4 | Luke Kuechly
5 | DeMarco Murray | 5 | Rob Gronkowski
6 | Peyton Manning | 6 | Andrew Luck
7 | Russell Wilson | 7 | Peyton Manning
8 | Rob Gronkowski | 8 | Russell Wilson
9 | Luke Kuechly | 9 | Antonio Brown
10 | Dez Bryant | 10 | Cam Newton |
Now, the one difference that we can see from that first week is that Odell Beckham Jr. has been surpassed for that No. 2 spot by Tom Brady, who is having a fantastic year once again leading the undefeated New England Patriots. Brady started the year in the No. 4 spot, and as the Patriots have continued to go on a tear, his numbers have only grown.
This being the case, it should also be noted that Brady is making a nice run for that top spot. Over the last 30 days, Haden has been only the No. 11 best jersey seller, while the Patriots quarterback has sold the most.
There is a lot to watch here in the second half of the 2015 NFL season, and that most certainly includes seeing whether or not Joe Haden can hold off Tom Brady in jersey sales.
