NFL picks, Week 10: Broncos, Packers to roll
The Denver Broncos are one of the best teams in the National Football League, but only when you look at the record. Looking deeper, the Broncos have a litany of issues. Denver has Peyton Manning under center, which has gone from a massive advantage to a substantial disadvantage.
Manning has thrown a league-leading 13 interceptions, showing that his drop-off last season was the rule, not the exception. Denver is also going into the second half of the season without outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware, who sustained a back injury and could be out for a while. Cornerback Aqib Talib is also out for Week 10 due to suspension, and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is questionable with a hamstring ailment.
Yet, the Broncos are 7-1 and remain a team to be reckoned with. The offense is awful, but the defense is playing at a Super Bowl level. On Sunday, they will welcome the Kansas City Chiefs into Sports Authority Field, one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL. Kansas City has not beaten Denver in any venue since Manning arrived in 2012, and none of our experts see that changing.

In the NFC, our experts would be stunned if the 1-7 Detroit Lions find any way to take down the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The Packers have lost each of their last two games and now draw a team that is nothing more than dead on arrival. The Lions are looking for the golf course, and Green Bay is eyeing home-field advantage.
