Welcome back to the BAE Index

Stephen Curry is money

Steph Curry seems much improved from last season, which is truly unfair for the rest of the NBA. Curry was up to his old tricks in Minnesota Thursday night, finishing with 46 points on 15-25 shooting in the Dubs’ 129-116 win over the Timberwolves. The MVP connected on an absurd 8-13 from three-point range, including this one right in the face of noted elderly person Andre Miller. Miller plays perfectly fine defense here (even dislodging the ball as Curry is rising for the shot!) but it’s no use. Steph hits it anyway:

Chris Bosh has no time for Gordon Hayward dunks

Chris Bosh isn’t known for his shot-blocking prowess. He’s a solid defender, but not one of those guys we often associate with #swatation. However, in Miami’s win over the Jazz on Thursday, Boshasaurus had his shot-blocking gloves on. Bosh rejected a season-high four shots in this one, including this particularly rude denial of Gordon Hayward’s dunk attempt:

Blake Griffin got mad

pouty

Despite his delightful commercials, Blake Griffin has a reputation as a rather saucy customer on the basketball court. That was fully on display in Phoenix on Thursday night, where he was ejected before halftime after picking up a pair of technical fouls. The first “T” came after getting into a jawing match with Mirza Teletovic (for some reason), while the second was assessed after Griffin thought he was fouled on a layup. Referee Brian Forte disagreed with Griffin’s histrionics, and sent him off early.

A kiss to send us off

smooch
smooch

The Warriors are off to a 10-0 start, and it’s almost incomprehensible to imagine them losing a game any time soon. Center Festus Ezeli was feeling…(ahem)…festive after Golden State’s win over the Wolves, and wanted to give Steph Curry a big ol’ smooch. So he did.
