Chris Fowler doesn’t work at College GameDay anymore, Art Briles doesn’t care

Art Briles didn’t know that Chris Fowler was no longer hosting College GameDay, nor did he care.

If Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam got together on one drunken night, their love child would be named Art Briles. The man is Captain America, and he lives in a world where justice is served cold. Much like a Beatrix Kiddo’s quest to annihilate all who wronged her, Briles has made the 2015 season one long road to redemption for last year’s College Football Playoff snub. It’s basically Sherman’s march to the sea, only by way of football games.

That said, it leaves Briles little time to keep up with the news. Sure, he’s privy to some current events. He probably knows that Donald Trump has an bald eagle tramp stamp, and that Pluto is no longer a planet, but other things tend to slip through the cracks – such as the changing of the guard at College GameDay. Unfortunately for Reese (formerly known as Rece) Davis, Captain America’s tunnel vision missed the part where Chris Fowler jettisoned his post at GameDay for the broadcast booth.

Sorry, not sorry, Reese. Thems the breaks, buddy. Coach has bigger things on his mind, like Sooners and pontoon boats. That’s the Waco way.
