Oregon wide receiver Darren Carrington caught a perfectly placed throw from quarterback Vernon Adams for a 47-yard touchdown.

Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams continued to be efficient with the ball as he threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Darren Carrington. This helped Oregon take a 21-20 lead at halftime over No. 7 Stanford.

Stanford took back the lead with a last-second field goal though. Adams has completed all six of his passes for 109 yards and a touchdown in the first half, and the Ducks continue to capitalize on big plays despite being beaten by the Cardinal in time of possession. Here is a video of this perfect throw from Adams to Carrington.

The Ducks are clearly fighting for a major upset win, as they have been on the receiving end of this sort of result against the Cardinal. The Cardinal previously ruined the Ducks’ national championship hunts in the 2012 and 2013 seasons, and they are now on track to compete for it if they can escape the Ducks. The Cardinal will need to do a better job of preventing big plays though, as most of Oregon’s touchdowns have been scored in that fashion.

Wide receiver Charles Nelson previously scored on a 75-yard touchdown run, and running back Royce Freeman set up the opening score with a 49-yard run. The Pac-12 is known for its high-scoring games, and this one is sure to be no different as 544 yards have already been gained between the two teams.
