NFL Week 10 picks and predictions
By Mike Dyce
Here are Don Banks picks for Week 10 of the NFL season.
Every week, Don Banks of Sports Illustrated teams up with ScoreBig to make weekly predictions for the slate of games in the NFL line up. After three incredibly hot weeks, Banks cooled off slightly going 8-5 last week.
He still is having remarkable success this week and has been pretty accurate.
Here are Banks’ picks for Week 10:
Banks enjoys picking the Ravens despite their struggles this season, but can you fault him for taking the Ravens against the Jaguars?
This game is a bit of a toss up, but Banks is going with the Eagles and Sam Bradford to get the job done. The Eagles win over the Cowboys last week is giving Banks confidence.
The Lions don’t win at Lambeau Field ever, or at least not in decades, this is a safe pick here.
The Cleveland Browns can’t catch a break and Banks doesn’t think they’ll catch one against the Steelers, even with their injuries.
The Rams are inconsistent and the Bears are awful, but improving it seems under their new coaching staff. Still, while improvements are being made, Banks doesn’t think it is enough to get them the win.
The Panthers are continuing to roll and the Titans probably aren’t going to be the team to derail the train, let’s be real.
If the Cowboys were going to end their losing streak, Tampa Bay seems like the perfect team. Banks isn’t confident this will be the week the Cowboys change their fortunes however.
Banks has the Saints winning again, albeit in a shootout with the lowly Redskins which is disheartening on its own.
Banks has the Raiders ending the Vikings hot streak. An interesting pick, the Raiders can be explosive but the Vikings have been steady and well rounded.
The Broncos have dominated the Chiefs since Peyton Manning arrived, given their form this season there is no need to think it will end this week.
The Patriots are going to keep rolling and exorcise their demons from Super Bowls past by beating Eli Manning and the Giants.
The Seattle Seahawks have been the class of the NFC West division in recent years, and Banks doesn’t have them giving up that mantle to the Cardinals just yet.
As good as the Texans defense can be, the Bengals offense will get the better of them. Not to mention, the Texans still got to sort out their quarterback situation.
