Mark Hunt knocks out Antonio “Big Foot” Silva in their heavyweight bout at UFC 193. Here’s what happened.

Mark Hunt’s game plan is to “knock the bloke out,” in most of his fights. He did just that in his rematch with Antonio “Big Foot” Silva.

In their first bout, the two battled it out in a five-round epic war. Their first fight went to a majority draw, so the score had never been settled between the two men. However, in their bout at UFC 193, Hunt settled the score pretty quickly.

Hunt recorded the first knockout finish of the night, after two decisions won by Jared Rosholt and Robert Whittaker. Once Hunt got his opportunity, he capitalized on that opportunity and crushed the ear of Big Foot. Once the punch connected, Silva lost his equilibrium and Hunt was able to close it out quickly. Here’s how the fight went down.

Round One: Hunt throws an early leg kick while the two exchange feints. Silva swings and misses with front kick. Silva lands a kick to the body while the two are still feeling each other out, then Hunt fires back with a combination and a leg kick. The two are still feeling each other out until Hunt lands a nasty round kick to the body. Good knee to the body. The two are trading kicks until Hunt lands a spectacular overhand right to the ear of Antonio Silva, wobbling the massive Brazilian to the canvas. He follows things up with a few ground strikes until John Sharp pulls him off.

Official Result: Mark Hunt def. Antonio Silva by TKO, 3:41 into the first round.
