The Chiefs have been one of the most disappointing teams this season in the National Football League, starting the campaign at 3-5. Kansas City began the season with a convincing win at Houston, and then saw its season come crashing down against the Broncos in Week 2. The Chiefs turned the ball over five times including a horrific Jamaal Charles fumble in the last seconds, allowing Denver cornerback Bradley Roby to recover it and score, winning the game 31-24.

The loss was a disaster for Kansas City, which allowed that loss to start a five-game losing streak. The Chiefs have righted the ship to an extent, winning their last two games before the BYE week. Denver has only sustained one loss all season, falling last week to the Indianapolis Colts. However, the Broncos will be without DeMarcus Ware and Aqib Talib this week, due to a back injury and suspension, respectively.

Should Kansas City win, it would be 4-5 and amazingly in the thick of the AFC playoff race. If Denver wins, it simply puts the AFC West that much further out of reach.
