Kirk Cousins gives father, who was diagnosed with cancer, game ball after win (Video)

Kirk Cousins led the Redskins to a big win and after the game, he honored his father in the best way that he possibly could

If there was one big surprise so far in Week 10 of the NFL season, it was the way in which the Washington Redskins manhandled the New Orleans Saints. Quarterback Kirk Cousins led this team to a dominant win at home, but the real story from this one has nothing to do with anything Cousins did during the game, rather what he did immediately after it.

For a little backstory here, Cousins’ dad, Don, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. Because of this unfortunate diagnosis, he has not been able to attend any games so far this season. However, he was able to be in attendance on Sunday to see his son take apart the Saints, which is an awesome moment all by itself.

Afterwards, though, Don Cousins got something amazing from his son. Following the win, Cousins went right over to his father and handed him the game ball that was used in the thrashing of New Orleans and the two shared an emotional embrace.

No matter what else happens here in Week 10 of the season, there is probably nothing that will top this moment right here.
