Marshawn Lynch will play for the Seattle Seahawks after being considered a game-time decision with an injury.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who is popularly known as “Beast Mode,” will take the field on Sunday night against the Arizona Cardinals. He was considered questionable to play with an abdominal muscle injury, but ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter has confirmed that the Seahawks have ruled him active.

Lynch has had a rough 2015 season, as he dealt with a hamstring injury earlier in the season and sat out for two games. Even before his injuries, Lynch had a slow start as he failed to rush for 100 yards until Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers. He also had an underwhelming performance in the Seahawks’ Week 8 win against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Seahawks had a well-timed bye week that enabled him to return to the field for Sunday Night Football.

The Seahawks running back will be playing through pain, though, as he has been dealing with it for a long time now. Nonetheless, his return will be welcome for a Seahawks team that has begun to look like its old self again after a slow start. The Seahawks currently have a 4-4 record and will have an opportunity to climb back into the NFC West title race with a win over the Cardinals. They achieved a similar result last season after two crucial wins against the Cardinals, who have also had a similar start to their 2015 season as their 2014 season. It remains to be seen whether they can have a stronger finish.
