ESPN First Take analyst Skip Bayless is one of the most controversial figures in all of sports journalism. The former columnist is never afraid to state his opinions that are often unique and questionable.
His latest opinion is sure to draw a large amount of criticism as well, as he continues to insist that Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel will be a good NFL quarterback. Here is Bayless’ tweet that reflects this view.
I've even been wondering what the Cowboys' record would be right now if Jerry had taken Manziel instead of Zack Martin. Better than 2-7.

The Cowboys made a memorable decision to pass on Manziel with the 16th-overall pick in the 2014 draft and select guard Zack Martin instead. This move has paid off greatly so far, as Martin was the final puzzle piece in a Cowboys offensive line that has dominated throughout the past two seasons. Martin, left tackle Tyron Smith and center Travis Frederick all made the Pro Bowl for their efforts in the 2014 season. This is what makes Bayless’ claim that Manziel would make the Cowboys better questionable.
The Cowboys fell to 2-7 with their seventh loss in a row. Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel have each failed to lead the Cowboys to a win since Tony Romo’s injury, but Romo will return to the field in Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins. While the Cowboys have certainly lost games due to poor quarterback play, it’s hard to believe that Manziel would make the Cowboys better since the Browns have a 2-8 record.
Manziel was also a major distraction off the field last season, as his partying habits weighed down the team. Nonetheless, Bayless is never one to back down from his views even if it means saying that the Indianapolis Colts should have drafted Robert Griffin III over Andrew Luck. Tim Tebow being a viable starting quarterback is also among Bayless’ most infamous opinions.
