Check out this facemask on Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel that looked like Steelers players trying to kill him.

Johnny Manziel is starting today’s game for the Cleveland Browns at quarterback against the banged up Pittsburgh Steelers, who lost Landry Jones due to injury and now playing the hurt Ben Roethlisberger.

Manziel is not well-liked by players in the NFL to say the least.  Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh may be evidence of that. Check out this play where Arthur Moats blatantly pulls the facemask of Manziel and nearly rips his head off.

Wow, that did not look good at all. It almost looked like Manziel’s head fully turned around. Luckily he stayed in the game.

The disdain toward Manziel started from his time in college with the Texas A&M Aggies. While he starred for the team during two years of starting quarterback, his antics on and off the field drew criticism. He would flash the money sign with his hands whenever he scored a touchdown and was a well-known party animal off the field. Once he came to the NFL in 2014, one would think players would look for any chance to take him down.

It’s safe to say that Moats will getting a fine for that pull of the facemask. Plays like this can be inadvertent, but when it’s one as egregious as that, you know that the NFL office will be calling him after this game and asking him to write out a check.
