The St. Louis Rams are a pretty mediocre team, but they have a ridiculously good running back in rookie Todd Gurley.

The first-round pick is showcasing why he was tabbed as the best running back to come out of college in years, already rushing for 664 yards on 5.6 yards per carry in his first six games. On Sunday, Gurley got rolling early against the Chicago Bears. In the first quarter, Gurley gave us this.

That should not be legal. Gurley is out of his mind, and might be the biggest athletic freak to enter the league since Adrian Peterson. The Rams are without many options offensively, with wide receiver Tavon Austin being the only real weapon on the outside. Nick Foles was supposed to come in and provide a boost to the offense, but it has not materialized.

Once the Rams put some talent on the outside, Gurley will be even more dangerous. Currently, defenses are stacking the box with eight men, allowing the corners to work in a man-to-man capacity on the perimeter. In the interim, Gurley will continue to batter defenders and give us incredibly highlights like the one above.
