Brian Hoyer taken out for possible concussion

Houston Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer has been pulled from the Monday Night Football game as he is being evaluated for a possible concussion
The Houston Texans have a change at quarterback again. No, this time head coach Bill O’Brien didn’t take one out for poor play. Instead, Brian Hoyer is now on the sidelines of the 10-6 defensive showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals as he is being evaluated for a possible concussion.
In for the veteran quarterback is the recently signed T.J. Yates, who was sitting on his couch after being cut by the Atlanta Falcons following training camp.
Yates was brought over after the team had enough of backup quarterback Ryan Mallett making excuses for his poor play and bad attitude. Mallett also started missing practices and even missed a flight to Miami for a game.
If the name Yates is familiar to football fans in Houston, it is because he was the fifth-round pick from 2011 that led the Texans to their first-ever playoff win. That win came against none other than the Cincinnati Bengals.
Hoyer has completed 12 of his 22 passes for 123 yards and no touchdowns. He has one interception, but in his defense, that pick came on a long Hail Mary attempt on the final play of the half. Hoyer is 2-0 in his career against Cincy, so at least both guys on Houston have had success in their careers against the home team.
