Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer could be facing a fine from the NFL after taunting the Seattle crowd.

Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer could be fined by the National Football League after he noticeably taunted the Seattle Seahawks crowd after the Cardinals got a late touchdown in their 39-32 win on Sunday. Palmer used the crotch-chop gesture towards the hostile Seattle crowd, and the NFL doesn’t like that one bit.

The NFL has strict rules in their rule book detailing what unsportsmanlike conduct acts are, and what Palmer did on Sunday night constitutes as that. Whether you’re a fan of the rules or not, rules are rules, and the players have to follow them blindly.

Palmer has a good reputation in the NFL and obviously had a ton of adrenaline going in his body after the Cardinals scored late. The Seattle crowd is the loudest and one of the most hostile venues in the NFL. Palmer, after realizing his team won, was super-pumped up and was having some fun with the Seattle crowd.

Unfortunately his taunting went to far in terms of NFL regulations, and he is most likely going to have to pay a fine for it. Luckily, Palmer makes a good amount of money playing football, so he should be good in the long-term.
