Cardinals backup quarterback Drew Stanton needs to relax just a bit

The Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks found themselves in a war on Sunday Night Football in Week 10, as you would expect from two NFC West foes. The Cardinals pulled away early, but Seattle came all the way back to take the lead before Arizona turned it on again to jump ahead once more.

In the waning moments of the fourth quarter and with Arizona up by three points, Cardinals running back Andre Ellington broke loose down the Cards’ sideline. While Ellington was making his way to the end zone, backup quarterback Drew Stanton was on the bench directing traffic and celebrating in possibly the most humorous way a human being can do such things:

That’s your throwing shoulder, Drew! Don’t throw it out of socket waving it around like that because of your excitement! Contain yourself! Actually, don’t contain yourself; make sure you react to every big play exactly like this for the rest of time because it’s amazing.

In defense of Stanton’s ridiculous antics and celebration on the sideline, that Ellington touchdown gave the Cardinals a 10-point lead over the Seahawks and all but clinched the victory that moves them to 7-2 on the season and gives them a stranglehold on the division. Still, Stanton might’ve taken it just a bit over the top.
