The Houston Texans are trying to pull off a sizable upset on Monday Night Football over the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium. Houston, which is fresh off its BYE week, is a 10-point underdog on the road against Cincinnati, which at 8-0 is expected to roll. The over/under for the game is 46.5, according to OddsShark.

Houston is 3-5 but has ample life when it comes to the AFC playoff picture. The Texans are only a half-game behind the wildly underwhelming Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South. Houston is also finally settled at quarterback after naming veteran Brian Hoyer the starter and releasing Ryan Mallett, who seemed like a headcase.

Cincinnati is off to the best start in franchise history and hopes to be the third team this season to start 9-0. The Benagals have been riding the right arm of quarterback Andy Dalton and his bevy of weapons, including receivers A.J. Green and Marvin Jones, tight end Tyler Eifert and running backs Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill.

If you are betting some cash on the game, the trends tell us that the OVER is a smart move. In Cincinnati’s last six games, the OVER has happened four times. Meanwhile, Houston has seen the OVER in four of its past five contests. You would also be wise to put some coin down on the Bengals to get the cover. In their last eight affairs, Cincinnati is 7-0-1 against the spread.
