In 1995, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was just twenty-three years old. St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley was still a baby, and former NFL linebacker Ray Lewis was a year away from being the Baltimore Ravens first-round draft pick. 1995 was a long time ago.

Those days he rented a room from an elderly couple, didn’t have a bank account, and made just $40 per match. He also had some pretty awesome sunglasses and over-groomed eyebrows. Today, The Rock is one of the most likeable, prolific, and savvy entertainers around. He parlayed his popularity as a WWE wrestler into a widely successful career in acting that has include roles on Fast & Furious, the HBO series Ballers, and countless other movies and TV shows.
From the video he shared on Instagram, it is hard to imagine The Rock would have such a long and successful career.
