Washington’s Kirk Cousins pokes fun at himself for not having the end zone moves of Carolina’s Cam Newton, saying that he’s more of a yeller than anything

The Carolina Panthers (9-0) will host the Washington Redskins (4-5) on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte at 1:00 PM ET. Carolina is one of two remaining undefeated teams in football, while Washington is very much alive in the NFC East/Playoff race a game below .500. In a quarterback driven league, Washington Redskins’ starter Kirk Cousins takes a two-way jab both at Carolina’s Cam Newton, as well as himself.

Cam Newton is known for his end zone antics with the Carolina Panthers. Newton routinely impersonates Superman, mocks his opponent and makes sure that he gives every rushing touchdown of his to a young Panthers fan seated near the end zone he just scored in.

While Kirk Cousins probably has a move or two or his won, it’s not likely on par with Newton’s Superman, Aaron Rodgers’ putting on the championship belt/discount double-check, or even the bicep kissing of the benched Colin Kaepernick. Cousins’ best move to date was “You Like That!?!”

Could Cousins do the Gronk spike or Whip/Nae Nae like J.J. Watt? Possibly, but how could he ever top “You Like That!?!”? The ferocity, the power point, the forced rhetorical question. It’s all there.

While it tends to side with a straight up taunting penalty, if Cousins were to own it in the manner that the Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz owns the bat flip, this could become Kirk Cousins’ thing. It’s more of the Jose Bautista forceful bat flip type of celebration, but it works for Cousins in a weird way.
