New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski told fans on Twitter the reason that he does not use Snapchat.

If there was ever an NFL player that someone would want to follow on Snapchat, Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots would undeniably be that player.

Unfortunately, the All-Pro tight end and All-American goofball does not use the social app. In an “Ask Me Anything” session on Twitter, Gronkowski shared the reason why he chooses not to create Snapchat stories of his best spikes and dance moves.

A low-key shoutout to defensive end Chandler Jones snuck into the mix, but this is such a Gronk move. However, it’s hard to blame the guy when there are women writing “Rob Gronkowski Erotica” fan fiction books about Gronk spiking random objects onto a girl’s butt. Hey, I heard they’re making it into a movie.

Gronkowski is one of the most polarizing figures in the NFL, and quite possibly one of the most likable athletes in sports today. Some people might like him a bit too much, so you can’t blame him for not wanting to give the public access to send him pictures on a regular basis.

Still, props to Gronkowski for running a 30-minute “Ask Me Anything” session on Twitter. It’s great to see someone who is as big of a star as Gronk is interacting with the fans in the space in which people feel most comfortable. Putting yourself out there on twitter could give the haters a stage to do what they do best, but Gronk handled the Twitter session just as he did everything else.
