49ers RB Carlos Hyde expected to be out for Seahawks game
By Ian O'Brien
The 49ers will probably have to play another game without running back Carlos Hyde, as he did not participate in Thursday’s practice
San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde has not seen the field for a while, and it appears that it will continue to be the case for Week 11. Hyde has been nursing a foot injury and has not been seen since Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks, and 49ers beat writer Matt Maiocco reported that Hyde will not likely get a chance to help the 49ers avenge their earlier loss to Seattle.
The 49ers’ nightmarish season continues to stay the way it has since the departure of Jim Harbaugh, and injuries continue to mount for this depleted squad. The 49ers are being forced to turn to their third-string running back since Reggie Bush is already out for the season with a torn ACL. Shaun Draughn received the bulk of the carries in the 49ers’ win over the Atlanta Falcons, and Kendall Gaskins also received plenty of carries and will likely continue to as long as Hyde is out.
The 49ers will continue to turn to Blaine Gabbert as their starting quarterback, as he helped lead them to a win over the Falcons after Colin Kaepernick was benched. The 49ers offense will have a lot to prove against a Seahawks defense that has been in their heads during the past few seasons. The 49ers have not beaten the Seahawks since December 2013, and the Seahawks will provide a much bigger challenge than a vulnerable Falcons defense.
