After watching Pepsi’s latest ‘Uncle Drew’ commercial, Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles wants to be turned into an old man too.
Kyrie Irving as ‘Uncle Drew’ is probably some of the best viral marketing in sports going right now. So when ‘Drew’ returned for his latest installment in a Pepsi advertisement, everyone took notice of how hilarious it was to watch an old man –well at least someone with the appearance of an old man– crossing over others and dropping dimes on the basketball court.
One person who took notice of the latest ad and thought it was absolutely hilarious was Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles. After watching the video, Charles sent Pepsi a tweet telling them he wanted to be an old man too in a commercial.
#UncleDrew never gets old. https://t.co/d0Xcg458qz Chapter 4 had me dying!! Hey @Pepsi - when you gonna make me an old man?

Just on initial thought, expanding the marketing campaign and making other top stars in other sports as old men would be absolutely hilarious and awesome. Imagine a viral ad that involves Charles breaking tackles and bursting 70 yards down the sideline as an old guy.
The possibilities are endless and Pepsi could have one of the best in the league representing their brand. It almost has to happen now as the thought of people falling for an old guy playing football, only to see him sprint untouched for a touchdown would be too good to pass up.
Kyrie Irving might be able to break some ankles on the hardwood as an old man, but it’s time to see the rise of what he and Pepsi started.
It’s time for Jamaal Charles to become an uncle.
