The NFL quarterback ratings are in for Week 11, and we are seeing movement across the board.
Nothing says the National Football League like extreme swings. The wins seem like huge, momentum-changing moments only to bring everything to a screeching halt the following week with a loss.
Of course, the quarterbacks are always at the center of attention. The league is littered with passers who make their teams much better than they should be (hello, Ben Roethlisberger) and guys who can’t get the job done despite talent around them (hello, Matt Cassel and Matthew Stafford).
After 10 weeks, it appears Philip Rivers has terrible luck. Rivers might win the passing title and throw for 5,000 yards, but the San Diego Chargers are 2-7. Instead of being in the Most Valuable Player conversation, he will be long forgotten throughout the winter.
On the flip side, people are looking at Ryan Fitzpatrick in a different light because the New York Jets are in the thick of the race. Fitzpatrick has New York at 5-4 and despite being highly mediocre, the Harvard man is being looked upon as a resourceful winner.
