While the Sooners have many great players that carry the team to victory each week, their is one man in particular that has been at the forefront of their success every single week.
That man is none other than starting quarterback Baker Mayfield, who has made a lasting impression on the Sooners program, as he went from a walk-on to now leading the Sooners as their starting quarterback this way.
His play each week in 2015, has allowed the Sooners to become one of the top teams in the nation. Whether it’s his legs or his arms, Mayfield can make the play and has led the Sooners to some big wins on the road and some blowout victories, where the other team never even stood a chance.

He’s fearless and does whatever it takes for his team to win. He wears his heart on his sleeve each and every game and because of that, the Sooners are one of the top teams in the nation.
He might not win the Heisman, but it’s going to be awfully hard to vote against him.
