Sheamus narrates the Notre Dame preview against Boston College
The 23rd edition of the “Holy War” game between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Boston College Golden Eagles takes place this Saturday when BC will take on the Irish inside the confines of Fenway Park.
The Eagles have largely struggled all season, and head into Saturday at 3-7. Under head coach Brian Kelly, Notre Dame is once again in the National Championship mix and are looking to finish the regular season undefeated for the second time during Kelly’s tenure.
Not that the Fighting Irish need to be pumped up anymore, but what better way to get the team fired up even more? The fiery “Celtic Warrior” and former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, of course:

The “Celtic Warrior” knows all about Notre Dame’s famous words, “Play Like a Champion Today.” Sheamus won his first WWE Championship back in his rookie year in 2010, and later won the 2012 Royal Rumble and headlined Wrestlemania 28 by winning the World Heavyweight Championship against Daniel Bryan — a match that famously lasted just 18 seconds.
This Notre Dame team has exceeded all expectations so far this season, and have mainly done it on the back of starting quarterback DeShone Kizer who has completed over 66% of his passes with 16 touchdown in the Fighting Irish’s nine wins. Should Notre Dame finish undefeated, Kizer may get some late Heisman Trophy love and consideration, but it’s doubtful he eventually enters the mix.
Notre Dame vs. Boston College will air in prime time at 7:30 p.m. ET.
