Hulk Hogan may never be back in WWE, but Triple H is one of the people who’d like to see it happen.
Earlier this year we saw something that we all thought would never happen, that being Hulk Hogan being basically erased from WWE history. Of course, this was done for pretty good reason, seeing as some very racial remarks that he made came to public light. When you looked at the entire situation, Vince McMahon had no choice but to cut all ties the company had to Hogan.
Still, if there is one thing that we have all learned about the wrestling business it’s that you really do never say never. Despite the severity of Hogan’s actions, there are some that believe he can rehabilitate his image to the point where he can make a return to the company some day down the road. Well, one of the people who believes that a return could be in the cards just so happens to be one of the more important executives they have right now — Triple H.
Triple H appeared on WHEB Morning Buzz recently, and he explained that not only can Hogan get back within the good graces of WWE, but he hopes he does.
“For me I hope so.” the on-screen WWE COO said.
“It’s about reinvigorating his brand and him as a human being and the confidence within the world as to who he is. But the one thing about people in general, when somebody is on top they love to see him fall and when they fall they love to see him make that comeback. They’re great stories and I think that’s where people are.”
He would also go on to add that the process of getting Hogan back would be a tough one, considering all that happened.
The thing with this statement is that if anyone can make the return happen, it’s Triple H. He has a very tremendous track record with mending fences and getting people back on good terms with his father-in-law, Vince McMahon. We never thought we’d see Bruno Sammartino again, but he made it happen. We never thought we’d see Ultimate Warrior again, but he made that happen.
Sure, the circumstances here are a little different because of what Hogan publicly did, but you’d imagine that down the line if there’s anyone that can figure out a return for Hogan, it’s Triple H.
