MLB free agency has begun. Every team will be looking to add to their roster. Here are ten players who will most likely get overpaid in free agency.

MLB free agency is like Black Friday. Each team is looking to upgrade at a certain position and they don’t care what they have to pay to get that upgrade. This tends to lead to players getting overpaid and overvalued. Teams often rely on free agency to fill immediate holes on their roster. Unlike the NFL, NBA, and NHL, MLB teams do not have to abide by a salary cap. That’s why MLB free agency is the most chaotic and most exciting free agency period in all of pro sports.

There are going to be players who will be overpaid in free agency. Here are ten who will most likely be the most overpaid. They have skill sets that are tempting. Some of them have extensive track records of being successful. Some of them are hitting free agency at just the right time. Some of them are the best at their position in an otherwise weak market. Whatever the case, these ten players are going to be overpaid in free agency.
