5 potential landing spots for Colin Kaepernick

St. Louis Rams
The Case Keenum era will be over before it ever begins, and even though Nick Foles signed a two-year extension after arriving in St. Louis, his 79.7 passer rating (good for 27th in the league) means that he is not the long-term solution for the Rams at quarterback.
Building off Todd Gurley’s explosive rookie season, Kaepernick wouldn’t have to be the focal point of the Rams offense. Their defensive front will also keep the score low, all of which will help to alleviate some pressure off of the quarterback.
St. Louis has proven to own a run-heavy offense and conservative play at quarterback. That’s why they drafted running backs in the first round the last two years and why the majority of Tavon Austin’s plays come from jet sweeps. Gurley, Austin, and now Kaepernick coming out of the backfield would be very unpredictable for opposing defenses to solve, and their aggressive running styles would prove tough to contain.
Another factor that could play into this decision is the fact that the Rams are in the NFC West. If Kaepernick does play for the Rams, he will have to face his old team twice, and there is no question that he will be motivated in both of those games to exact revenge on the team that left him for dead.
