Magic Johnson was clearly very happy with his alma mater Michigan State defeating Ohio State in a down-to-the-wire Big Ten matchup.
No. 9 Michigan State shocked the college football world with a colossal upset win over No. 3 Ohio State to vault themselves back into the national championship discussion. They came back from a 14-7 deficit to tie the game and win it on a last-second field goal. Former Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson is never shy to flaunt his devotion to his alma mater, and he took to Twitter to express his joy with his Spartans beating the undefeated Buckeyes.
Big Time win on the road against Ohio State without our starting QB and that's why we're a Big Time program! #GoGreen #GoWhite @MSU_Football

Coach @DantonioMark showed why he's one of the best CFB coaches in the nation with his offensive/defensive game plan against undefeated OSU!

Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio received a lot of praise from the five-time NBA champion, and he has earned this due to his ability to make Michigan State a winning program again. They even finished third in the country with a Rose Bowl win in the 2013 season, and a national championship may be ahead for Dantonio if the Spartans can make strong closing run similar to Ohio State’s from last season.
The Spartans appeared to be out of the playoff picture after they lost in a stunning upset to Nebraska, which involved them blowing a 12-point lead in the game’s final two minutes. They now have a very realistic chance of securing the Big Ten title, and possibly more. Assuming they can close out their regular season with a home win against Penn State, the Spartans will take on Iowa in the Big Ten Championship Game.
