Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez will do battle on Saturday, but what time will they hit the ring?

Saturday night in Las Vegas, after a little bit of a wait, we will finally get to see two of the best Middleweights in the world collide when Miguel Cotto takes on Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.

This battle between Mexico and Puerto Rico is one that we have all been looking forward to and we’ll get right down to business this Saturday night as one of these men look to lay claim to the title of best Middleweight in the world.

Alvarez comes in as one of the brightest young stars in the boxing game, and he’s coming off a pure demolition of James Kirkland in Texas. He sports a record of 45-1-1, with that one loss coming to none other than Floyd Mayweather, which is really nothing to be ashamed about, which pretty much goes without saying. If he can beat one of the biggest names in the sport in Cotto on Saturday night, then he will certainly see that star of his shine even brighter.

Speaking of Cotto, he comes into this one with a career record of 40-4 and he’s also the recognized Lineal and RING Middleweight champion of the world. He would have also come in as the WBC Middleweight title holder, but he was stripped of the belt earlier this week after refusing to pay the sanctioning fee, which some see as he potentially ducking a fight with another up-and-comer, Gennady Golovkin. Nonetheless, he’s seen as the best in the game right now for his weight class and there are some that would not argue that one bit.

Now, of course, with the under card taking place as well, some might be wondering when exactly these two will be taking center stage for the fight that we’ve all been waiting for. Well, the show starts on Saturday night at 9 p.m. ET, and with the fights that will be taking place beforehand, that means Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez should be in the ring with one another some time around Midnight Eastern Time.
