Previous: . brooklyn nets. 2. team. 147. The Nets are, unquestionably, playing better basketball right now than they were early in the season, and that gives Brooklyn fans something to grab hold of at this stage. Still, they are languishing without the benefit of a 2016 first round pick, and a 25-point loss to the Celtics on Friday (bringing them to the second-worst net rating in the league), the Nets reminded the casual NBA fan of how bad they can be on any given night.
With Lionel Hollins, Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young involved, things won’t get as ugly as they could, but the Nets simply don’t have any kind of margin for error. Oh, did I mention that they are the least entertaining team in the NBA? That counts, too.
.

Previous: . Philadelphia 76ers. 1. team. 93. This can’t come as a surprise, but things are getting very ugly in Philly right now. The Sixers have started the season with an 0-13 record, and if that wasn’t brutal enough, Brett Brown’s team has dropped its past two games by a total of 52 points to the Indiana Pacers and the Charlotte Hornets.
For the uninitiated, Philadelphia is supposed to lose to those teams, but not by that kind of margin, and the numbers don’t exactly paint a pretty picture. The Sixers rank dead last in the NBA in net rating (-15.3 points per 100) and their offense is as bad (90.2 points per 100) as anything we’ve seen in the league recently.

There is an ongoing debate as to whether the Sixers will win a game before the Warriors lose a game, and at this point, the smart money might be on the Warriors losing. That tells you all that you need to know.
.
