The New York Jets got a huge boost from a Brandon Marshall touchdown to start the second half
The New York Jets did not have a great first half against the Houston Texans in Week 11. They weren’t getting destroyed, but DeAndre Hopkins was torching the Jets defense and the New York offense wasn’t getting anything of consequence going. Brandon Marshall made sure to turn the tides for his team at the start of the second half.
After the Jets benefitted from a defensive pass interference penalty that gave them 44 yards and put them right outside the red zone, Ryan Fitzpatrick looked Marshall’s way. Marshall beat his man with a nice bit of sluggo action on his way to the right side of the end zone where Fitzpatrcik dropped a dime right into his hands:
For as bad as the Jets offense has looked at times this season, Marshall has been pretty consistently incredible. It seems like once a week he’s coming up with a big play and this touchdown catch to pull the Jets even at 10-10 with the Texans is no different.
Now the key for Marshall and the Jets offense is to find some sort of consistency with their offense. One timely touchdown is great, but it doesn’t mean much if that’s all the offense is going to do all day.
