The Kansas City Chiefs are on the board against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday afternoon at Qualcomm Stadium, and it happened in hilarious fashion. On 4th and 1 from inside San Diego’s 1-yard line, the Chiefs handed off to nose tackle Dontari Poe, who went over the top for the touchdown.

Think about what you are watching. Poe is listed at 346 pounds and he went over the top for a touchdown. The man could not be denied, as the Chargers didn’t know what to do against such a huge force. For Poe, it was his first NFL touchdown, something that clearly needs to happen more.
The Chiefs are 4-5 and trying to become the second team in NFL history to make the postseason after starting 1-5. The first and only team to do it was the 1970 Cincinnati Bengals, who actually started 1-6 before winning seven straight games to take the AFC Central crown. Kansas City has won three straight games largely on the back of its great defense, which apparently has decided to also play offense.
Meanwhile, San Diego is 2-7 and languishing in the AFC West basement. The Chargers are getting a huge year out of Philip Rivers, but it has not been enough to put the team in playoff contention.
