Emmanuel Sanders will not play on Sunday against the Bears.

The Denver Broncos will look very different when he takes the field on Sunday afternoon against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Already starting Brock Osweiler over the injured Peyton Manning at quarterback, the Broncos will now be without Emmanuel Sanders at wide receiver.

Sanders has been dealing with a hamstring injury for weeks, along with a shoulder problem that he sustained against the Cleveland Browns a month ago. Denver will likely be giving Cody Latimer more time on the outside, an unproven youngster in his second year. Being without Sanders is a huge blow for the Broncos, who has 46 passes for 639 yards and four touchdowns.

At 7-2, Denver is leading the AFC West by three games over the Kansas City Chiefs. However, the Broncos could be on the edge of a very slippery slope. Denver has the New England Patriots in Week 12, a team that will likely be coming into the Mile High city with an undefeated record. Meanwhile, Kansas City has the easiest schedule of any team in the league down the stretch, playing only one team with a winning record.

Sunday will be Osweiler’s first NFL start. Being without a top weapon on the outside is certainly not going to help matters.
