These week 11 scoring leaders got their fantasy football owners off to a good start to the week.

The early games on Sunday had plenty of drama as well as some surprises. Check out the early fantasy football stars below in our mid-afternoon check of the week 11 scoring leaders.

More from Carolina Panthers

Some fantasy football owners had horrible starts to their week with many key injuries including Justin Forsett, Devonta Freeman, and Alfred Morris.  While those players didn’t come through for their owners, the players on the list below stepped up and got their owners off to fast starts.

Cam Newton-QB-Carolina Panthers: Newton had a monster game as the Panthers moved to 10-0 with a 44-16 win over Washington.  Newton threw five touchdowns in Carolina’s win totaling 246 yards on 21/34 passing while adding 16 yards rushing. Newton totaled 30 fantasy points in ESPN standard scoring which was the highest total of the week.

Jameis Winston-QB-Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Winston matched Cam’s five passing touchdowns while totaling 246 yards yards passing. He led the Bucs to a big road win in Philadelphia and is heading into the last few games his rookie year with some impressive performances

Doug Martin-RB-Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Martin got 27 carries in the Bucs road win, and he took those for an impressive 235 yards against the Eagles.  Martin didn’t get into the end zone, but he still had a great game for his fantasy investors

DeAndre Hopkins-WR-Houston Texans: Hopkins was the top-scoring receiver of the day so far finishing with five catches for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  Hopkins was targeted a dozen times and continues to be a top receiver option in the NFL.

Matthew Stafford-QB-Detroit Lions: Stafford had a good game as the Lions went into Oakland and got an 18-13 win.  He threw for 282 yards on 22/35 passing.  He failed to throw for a touchdown but ran for a score as part of his six rushes for 31 yards.

Brock Osweiler-QB-Denver Broncos: The Broncos got a win in Chicago in their first game without Peyton Manning thanks to 250 yards and two touchdowns from Brock Osweiler.  Osweiler completed 20 of his 27 passes and as efficient while adding four yards on the ground.

Carolina Panthers D/ST: The Carolina defense had a big game forcing five Washington turnovers and getting five sacks against Kirk Cousins.  They allowed just 16 points and dominated Washington all day causing four fumbles.

Ahmad Bradshaw-RB-Indianapolis Colts: Bradshaw found the end zone twice on Sunday with four catches on four targets for 20 yards and his two scores.  He added 32 yards on his nine carries and served as a nice receiving-down option for Indy this week in their win in Atlanta.

Jonathan Stewart-RB-Carolina Panthers: Stewart didn’t run for touchdown but did finish with 102 yards on his 21 carries.  He got into the end zone on his one catch for 12 yards.
