The Chiefs offense just can’t catch a break since Jeremy Maclin and Charcandrick West both left with injuries.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and running back Charcandrick West both left Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers with injuries. Maclin took a massive blow to the head and is now going through concussion protocol. West left with a hamstring injury, and he is being treated on the sideline along with Maclin.

It remains to be seen how serious these injuries are, but the Chiefs already had bad enough luck in  the injury department. Star running back Jamaal Charles tore his ACL for the second time in his career and is missing the rest of the season as a result. West filled in extremely well for Charles though, as the Chiefs are riding a three-game winning streak and are on track to win their fourth in a row against the Chargers.

However, the Chiefs may be without their best available running back and best wide receiver for a while unless they can miraculously avoid serious injuries.

The Chiefs offense may be left lifeless unless more unknown weapons are able to emerge like West did in Charles’ absence. Spencer Ware has filled in for West thus far, but it remains to be seen who would start in his absence. The Chiefs will look to keep their playoff hopes alive with Davis likely to fill in for at least some time.
