Andre Roberts came up with another big play for the Washington Redskins
The Washington Redskins answered the first Carolina Panthers touchdown of their Week 11 matchup with a deep touchdown pass to DeSean Jackson. So when the Panthers found the end zone again, Washington again needed to answer to stay competitive with an unbeaten Carolina team. It didn’t take long at all for Andre Roberts to give his team just that.
On the ensuing kickoff after the Panthers went up 14-7, Roberts received the kickoff just a step in front of the goal line. He burst straight up the middle of the field, but found some daylight when he cut to the right side of the field. Then it was all about speed as Roberts outran any pursuing members of the Panthers coverage team and sped into the end zone for six points:

When Jackson scored on the long touchdown pass, there was talk on the broadcast about how he could be huge for Washington in giving them big plays that they’ve been missing in their offense. Though it’s not the offense, Washington getting another big play the next time they touched the ball against Carolina is an extremely positive sign for them. Who knows if it’s sustainable, but it’s keeping them in the game with the Panthers early on.
