The Baltimore Ravens won on Sunday but lost Joe Flacco in the process to a torn ACL.
It was a rough Sunday for the Baltimore Ravens as while they managed to beat the St. Louis Rams they lost quarterback Joe Flacco to a torn ACL. Despite the fact the he finished the game, Flacco is now going to miss the rest of this season for Baltimore — one that has them sitting at 3-7 through the first 12 weeks of the year.
Now the question transitions from being about how long Flacco is going to be out to who his backup is. It’s been a while since Flacco has missed a game and the backup quarterback situation in Baltimore has been as fluid as any in the NFL.
If you’re wondering who will be finishing out the season for the Ravens, it’s going to be Matt Schaub.
Marc Trestman is a guy that the Ravens fans might want to have some faith in. He was the guy in charge in Chicago when Jay Cutler suffered an injury and was then challenged for his job by backup Josh McCown. Schaub has established in the past that he’s a serviceable starter at the NFL level, leading the Texans to the playoffs numerous times and helping the franchise get on the map.
The road is a little tougher in Baltimore, as the receiving corps has been decimated by injuries, Justin Forsett is out for the rest of the season with a broken arm and things are looking gloomy.
