The 2015-16 NBA season is only a few weeks underway, but already five teams have been major disappointments.

Though it is still early in the NBA season, as most teams have only played 13 or 14 games on their 82-game schedule, a few developments have surfaced. Golden State has yet to lose (15-0), Philadelphia has yet to win (0-14), and Houston has already fired their head coach in Kevin McHale.

While some teams are doing better that expected and many are meeting their seasonal expectations, a handful of teams have come out of the gate a bit flat. Whether it’s locker room turmoil, poorly run front offices, bad coaching hires, or young, inexperienced teams going through growing pains, the NBA once again has some lackluster teams lurking at the bottom of their conference’s standings.

What sets these five teams apart from the rest of the NBA is that they’ve done the worst job thus far of meeting their perceived expectations at the start of the year. In other words, they are shockingly worse than originally thought to start the 2015-16 NBA season.

Can any of these teams rectify their early struggles and get back into the playoffs? Maybe one or two could, but digging an early season hole isn’t great for anyone eyeing the postseason this spring. Without further ado, here are the five teams that have been the biggest disappointments so far in the 2015-16 NBA season.
