The New England Patriots will hold a moment of silence for a fan who died in the terrorist attack in Israel.

It’s been a banner year for the New England Patriots so far as they move past DeflateGate and focus on winning Super Bowl 50. On Monday night, the Patriots will have a moment of silence for 18-year-old and avid fan Ezra Schwartz, who died from the terrorist attack in Israel.

The 18-year-old was a big Patriots fan and it’s a classy move by the organization. The death comes on the heels of the terrorist attacks in Paris that rocked the entire world. In reaction to the tragic events in Paris, each NFL game had a moment of silence to honor those victims.

It’s very tragic for anyone to pass away at 18. Their lives as independent individuals are just beginning and the best years are underway. Unfortunately, Schwartz won’t be able to enjoy them and sadly died in a senseless act of violence. He was killed while trying to deliver food to soldiers.

New England didn’t need to honor one of their biggest fans; they have plenty of them. However, the team realizes the gravity of Schwartz’s death and it’s a classy move by an organization that has had some public relations nightmares in recent years.

Rest in peace to Schwartz, one of the biggest Patriots fans in the world and sadly someone who won’t get to see the undefeated side take on the Bills in Monday Night Football in person or on television. The team’s decision to hold a moment of silence will help bring awareness to the fan’s life and how the 18 year old lost his life abruptly over the weekend.
