Waiver Wire Week 12
We are staring down the end of the fantasy football regular season and it seems like it was just yesterday that we were drafting our teams with visions of championships and bragging rights dancing in our heads. We are down to the point where most of us know the fate of our fantasy teams, but there are always a few bubble teams and teams whose playoff hopes are riding on this week’s waiver wire requests.
No matter where your fantasy football team is sitting it is always my hope that everyone is trying to improve and still win games. I think that keeps the competitive balance alive and well keeps everyone honest. I love keeper leagues and dynasty leagues for this very purpose.
We are going to attempt to outline several players that you should look to pick up for a variety of reason, but most importantly so that you can improve your team and give you a shot to win your game this coming week. Don’t be that owner that just lets the other teams slide and win because you can’t get in the playoffs.
Here are my Waiver Wire week 12 options:
Next: Week 12 Waiver Wire Quarterbacks

Quarterbacks:
QB – Marcus Mariota – Mariota is still somehow under 50% ownership rate on ESPN.com. He is playing pretty well and has extremely high upside for a guy who can be your QB2 for the rest of the season. The Titans have a decent playoff schedule for QBs and Mariota should only get better going forward.
QB – Jay Cutler – Cutler is coming off of a down week and heading into a tough match-up with the Packers. However much like Mariota, Cutler has a solid playoff schedule and should be a decent QB2 for the remainder of the season. Cutler is even a guy who would be start worthy in a few of his remaining match-ups.
QB – Jameis Winston – Winston has been a little streaky this season from a fantasy perspective. He has had some really good moments and some less than spectacular ones as well. He is coming off of a stellar five TD day and is worthy of a pickup. Give him a look as your QB2.
Next: Week 12 Waiver Wire Backs

Running Backs:
RB – Javorius Allen – Allen looks to be the new lead back in Baltimore thanks to the injury to Justin Forsett. He should be all set to be a RB2 for the rest of the season and I like him as an immediate add who could help change the trajectory of your fantasy football team. You will want to find someone to cut to add this guy and keep him off of other teams even if you don’t need RB help.

RB – Thomas Rawls – Rawls is another guy who could be locking down a starting gig at least for the coming week. The word right now is that Marshawn Lynch will be a no go for this Sunday and this should give Rawls another shot at the bulk of the carries in Seattle. Give him a look of you need RB help this week.
RB – Tevin Coleman – Coleman looks like he could be in for a big day this coming Sunday as Devonta Freeman could be out or limited thanks to a concussion. The coaching staff in Atlanta has expressed confidence in Coleman should Freeman sit out and he would be in for a RB2 type of day if Freeman is to sit out.

Wide Receivers and Tight Ends:
WR – Devin Funchess – Fumchess saw some more playing time this week and was really successful with it. I like his chances to see some more this week and moving forward as he really received some high praise from the coaching staff. Give him a look if you are in need of WR help.
WR – Kendall Wright – Wright appears set to return from his injury this week and it could not be at a better time. Mariota is looking improved almost every week and the Titans have a good match-up with the Raiders on tap. If Wright was dropped in your league you may want to add him and see how he plays this week.
TE – Brent Celek – Celek has been mostly unusable for fantasy purposes for the last few years, but with the injury to Zach Ertz likely to keep him sidelined this week he should be a solid play. I don’t like him whenever Ertz comes back, but if he is out you can use him in a pinch.
TE – Kyle Rudolph – Rudolph had a great game this past week and has a good match-up for this week. He is another guy that I am not sold on long-term as a starter, but he should be solid again this week with his match-up. If you are in need of a TE play this week you can safely plug-in Rudolph and hope for the best.
As always we thank you for stopping by and wish you all the best of luck!
