James White of the New England Patriots and Tevin Coleman of the Atlanta Falcons should be your waiver wire pickups for week 12.

If I have said it once, I have said it a million times, the Patriots know talent! There is a common mistake made by experts, fans, and everyone who is involved with the NFL. It seems to be thought that Coach Belichick simply ‘finds’ players to plug into his offense. His coaching staff develops players for this very situation. With Dion Lewis and Julian Edelman out with injury, Danny Amendola and James White stole the show. White scored the only two touchdowns in the Patriots Monday night win. Amendola is giving back the show because he is now injured, but you need to claim White. There is a small chance he is still available in your league. Put a claim on James White and start him with confidence.

Tevin Coleman is in a limbo of sorts. If the concussion protocol does not go as expected for Devonta Freeman, Coleman will be the starting back in Atlanta. Freeman owners should have stashed Coleman on their bench for this exact reason. If not, do not panic. He is available in over 75% of leagues, according to www.espn.com. Once Freeman went down with the concussion, Coleman rushed 17 times for 48 yards.

Those numbers are pretty bad, but take them with a grain of salt. Devonta Freeman has taken every first team rep since he exploded into the national eye. If you remember, Tevin Coleman was the starting running back coming into the 2015 season. All of this is depending on Freeman’s concussion. If he is cleared to play, Devonta Freeman will be the starting running back. If he is NOT cleared to play, Tevin Coleman will be a coveted fantasy option.

Let’s say you have a top five fantasy football waiver wire add in your league. If it was my claim, I would put my number 1 priority on James White and my number 2 priority on Tevin Coleman. White has guaranteed touches, where Coleman will only play if Freeman is not cleared.
