Just in time for the holidays, the NBA has released shirts that represent each team’s area code.

Every athlete is proud to represent the area code that they are from. Whether it’s shouting the three digits with the camera on them or something as simple as having the area code on the eye black a la Reggie Bush, players are proud to represent the place they call home.

NBA fans can now represent their area code too, as the NBA has released shirts for each team that has the area code of their city on the shirt.

The idea of an area code on a shirt isn’t a bad one, but these shirts really drop the ball when it comes to zero. Everyone pronounces it as the letter “O” when they say their area code aloud, but does anyone add the emphasis of “OHHHHHH” like they are at an Oregon Ducks game?

It’s probably better than saying “Three Zero Three” and other variants of the digit, but still it feels like there is just something missing from making these shirts great. Sure some may like them, as everyone has different tastes, but if you plan on attending an Oregon game, these shirts are just plain strange.
