Welcome to the Week 12 NFL quarterback rankings
The National Football League is a crazy place. One week, the Cincinnati Bengals look like the best team in the league this side of the New England Patriots. Fast forward two weeks, and the Bengals are only two games up on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North with the two teams having to play each other.
If Ben Roethlisberger begins to badly outplay Andy Dalton, we could suddenly have a race on our hands. While Cincinnati remains in firm control, the quarterback play could decide who gets the job done over the final six weeks.
Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers have emerged as the solid favorite in the NFC. While Cam Newton is only completing 57 percent of his throws, the results are undeniable. Newton is in the discussion for Most Valuable Player and rightfully so, throwing 20 touchdowns thus far. If the Panthers are going to make a serious run at the Super Bowl, Newton will have to be Super Cam.
